Lip sync test animations

During creating this animation there was definitely a lot of trial and error. Some of it was due to getting to know the program and others being silly errors or attempting something new that might not have looked good in the long run. Although, looking back through these trial animations definitely help me improve it to get it to a better standard.

This first test was just to get an idea of the characters movement and mouth shapes. I added the character design images in the background to help me remember positioning of the gills etc when drawing the character out. However an issue I came across was that the file didn’t save properly so only part of the animation was still there.
This was the first full very rough test animation.
I once again exported the video after adding colour and the basic movement needed for the character’s.
After getting the basic movements down I started going into the details such as moving the fins, eyes blinking and adding more expression into their faces.
This was my final test before thinking about combining the background with the animation. I started thinking about elements to add to make sure the story will make sense and to complete the ending.
First test with background included with the animation. This was just to get a general idea of what it would look like together and how i need to move the characters in order for it to look natural.
This was my final animation. I definitely had fun making this strange concept to this sound piece. I do wish this project was longer so I could go into more detail but overall i’m happy with my final outcome.
