When reflecting on this exercise I can come up with multiple positives and negatives within the drawings that were produced. When starting this exercise I was going into old habits and focusing on just the background and the little details that are hidden in them. While this isn't always bad I realized that my environmental drawings looked flat and lifeless. In order to get away from this, I focused more on people as they're constantly changing emotion as well as moving getting on with their everyday lives. The idea of using a neutral subject in that there not aware of being drawing already adds more to my drawings. I was not very confident in drawing fast figures and memorizing peoples stances. I found that using a small fine liner in a messy style made my characters look more free in the poses they were draw in and allowed me to work a lot faster. To create my 3 frame narrative, I wanted to combine the area as well as trying to convey an emotion of someone being in South Bank. A few sketches came into mind when thinking of this narrative one being showing the environment itself, the second would be the wildlife e.g. pigeons that surrounds everyone. Thirdly, I was able to get a very very rough sketch of people sitting next to each other without having any connections to them whatsoever in order to go about their day and or so they can also sit and admire the view. When making my drawings I decided against the idea of colour as I felt it strayed away from the concept of the original sketches. Whilst I have certain aspects I wish I could go back and redo within my drawings, I very much like the concept of the narrative as it makes it very wholesome.
